Gemma Ruiz Palà (Sabadell, 1975) is a Catalan journalist and a writer. She has worked on the news desk at Televisió de Catalunya since 1996, specialising in cultural affairs.
Her debut novel, Argelagues (Proa, 2016) became a literary phenomenon with twelve reprints so far and excellent critical reception. Her second novel, Ca la Wenling, was simultaneously published in Catalan (Proa, 2020) and Spanish (Destino, 2020).
In 2023 she is awarded with the Sant Jordi Award with Les nostres mares (Proa, 2023).
